Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller of personal data on this website (the “Website”) is SIA “Rīgas Zeļļi Management”, registration No. 40203481902, registered address: Strēlnieku iela 5-42, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia. Email: rigaszelli@rigaszelli.lv.

We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

2. What data we process

• Contact data – if you email or otherwise contact us: your name, email address and the content of your message. We use it only to reply to you (legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Technical data – when you visit the Website, our hosting provider automatically logs your IP address, browser type and request time in server logs. This is needed for the Website’s security and operation (legitimate interests).
• Analytics data – only with your consent, via Microsoft Clarity (see section 3).
• Marketing data – only with your consent, via Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel (see section 4).

The Website has no user accounts or registration, no contact forms and no payment processing. We do not sell personal data or use it for automated decision-making.

3. Microsoft Clarity

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. • What is collected: clicks, scrolling, mouse movements, pages viewed, session length, device and browser type, screen size, approximate location (country/city from the IP address) and session recordings. Text you type is masked in recordings.
• Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Clarity is loaded only after you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner or switch analytics on in the settings.
• Transfers: data is processed on Microsoft servers, including in the USA. Microsoft Corporation is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
• Retention: according to Microsoft’s terms, session recordings are kept for up to 30 days and aggregated statistics for up to 13 months.
• Withdrawing consent: at any time via “Cookie settings” in the Website footer or at the bottom of this page. When you withdraw consent, Clarity’s first-party cookies are deleted.

4. Marketing tools (Google, Meta, TikTok)

With your consent the Website loads Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd.), which loads Google Analytics 4 (visit statistics), Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.), as well as the TikTok Pixel (TikTok Technology Limited, Ireland). We use them to measure visits to the Website and how well our ads (for example ticket campaigns) work, and to show ads to people interested in the club.

• What is collected: pages visited and events (such as clicks), device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and cookie identifiers. If you are logged in to a Google, Meta or TikTok account, these companies may link the data to that account.
• Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). The tools are loaded only after you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner or switch marketing on in the settings. Until then Google’s tools are told that consent has not been given (Google Consent Mode).
• Roles: for Google Analytics and Google Ads, Google acts as our processor; Meta and TikTok may act as joint or independent controllers for their own advertising purposes under their terms.
• Transfers: data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the USA. Google and Meta are certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework; otherwise standard contractual clauses apply.
• Retention: cookie lifetimes are listed in our Cookie Policy; Google Analytics event data is kept for up to 14 months, other services’ data under their terms.
• Withdrawing consent: at any time via “Cookie settings” in the Website footer; when you withdraw consent, these tools’ first-party cookies are deleted.

5. Cookies

We use necessary cookies (to store your cookie choice) and – with your consent – Microsoft Clarity analytics cookies and Google, Meta and TikTok marketing cookies. The full list with expiry periods is in our Cookie Policy.

6. Third-party content and services

The Website embeds or links to third-party content. When it loads, your browser connects to the relevant provider, which may process your IP address and set its own cookies under its own terms. These providers process personal data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies; we do not control their processing and recommend reading their privacy policies:

• Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) – the “@rigaszelli on Instagram” section shows post images stored on our own server; your browser connects to Instagram only when you open a post.
• YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.) – game videos load only when you press play.
• Flickr (SmugMug, Inc.) – photo gallery images.
• Euroleague Basketball – the EuroCup advertising slot and links to the EuroCup and EuroLeague TV websites.
• Game data – the game calendar and opponent team logos come from an external sports data service and are stored on our own server; your browser does not connect to that service.
• Ticket sales (Passportix) – tickets are sold on the ticketing and events platform Passportix (shop.rigaszelli.lv), which has its own terms and privacy policy.
• Hosting – the Website is hosted on Hostinger servers in the European Union.

7. Data sharing

We share personal data only with service providers that run the Website (hosting, analytics), with your consent with advertising platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, see section 4), or with public authorities where required by law. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, this is based on a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

8. Retention

• Contact data – until your enquiry is resolved, but no longer than 2 years.
• Server logs – according to the hosting provider’s terms (usually up to 30 days).
• Cookie choice – 6 months; Clarity data – see section 3; marketing tools’ data – see section 4.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict processing, object to processing, request data portability and withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing). To exercise these rights, email rigaszelli@rigaszelli.lv. For data processed by third-party providers (for example when buying tickets), you can exercise your rights directly with the relevant provider.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050).

10. Changes

We may update this policy, for example when the Website’s services or the law change. The current version and its date are always available on this page.
