What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, smartphone or tablet). They help the website remember your choice and – with your consent – understand how the website is used and measure how well our ads work.
How we use cookies
On your first visit you are shown a cookie banner. Necessary cookies are always active, while analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity) and marketing cookies (Google, Meta, TikTok) are used only with your consent, and you can allow each category separately. These tools are not loaded until you consent; Google’s tools are told that consent has not been given (Google Consent Mode).
Necessary cookies
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| cc_cookie | rigaszelli.lv | Stores your cookie choice | 6 months |
Analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity)
Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors use the website (clicks, scrolling, pages viewed, session recordings and heatmaps) so we can improve it. Text you type is masked in recordings. See section 3 of our Privacy Policy for details.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| _clck | rigaszelli.lv (Clarity) | User ID and preferences | 1 year |
| _clsk | rigaszelli.lv (Clarity) | Joins page views into one session | 1 day |
| CLID | clarity.ms | Recognises the browser across Clarity sites | 1 year |
| MUID | bing.com / clarity.ms | Microsoft user ID | 1 year |
| ANONCHK | c.clarity.ms | Technical Microsoft cookie | 10 minutes |
| MR | c.clarity.ms | Technical Microsoft cookie | 7 days |
| SM | c.clarity.ms | Technical Microsoft cookie | Session |
Expiry periods are as documented by Microsoft and may change.
Marketing cookies (Google, Meta, TikTok)
Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4 (visit statistics), Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel; the TikTok Pixel loads separately. These tools measure visits and how well our ads work, and may recognise you in those companies’ advertising networks. See section 4 of our Privacy Policy for details.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | rigaszelli.lv (Google Analytics) | Distinguishes visitors | 2 years |
| ga* | rigaszelli.lv (Google Analytics) | Keeps the session state | 2 years |
| _gcl_au, _gcl_aw | rigaszelli.lv (Google Ads) | Ad conversion measurement | 3 months |
| _fbp, _fbc | rigaszelli.lv (Meta Pixel) | Meta ad measurement and targeting | 3 months |
| _ttp, _tt_enable_cookie | rigaszelli.lv (TikTok Pixel) | TikTok ad measurement and targeting | 13 months |
Google, Meta and TikTok may also set their own cookies on their domains (for example IDE, NID, fr, ttwid) under their own terms. Expiry periods are as documented by the providers and may change.
Third-party content cookies
Embedded content – YouTube videos and other third-party elements – may set its providers’ cookies when it loads. These are governed by the privacy policies of Google and the other providers.
How to change or withdraw your choice
You can change your choice at any time with the “Change cookie settings” button at the bottom of this page or the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer. When you withdraw consent, that category’s first-party cookies are deleted (Clarity: _clck, _clsk; marketing: _ga, gcl*, _fbp, _fbc, _ttp, _tt_enable_cookie). You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
